Photos: The Toronto Zoo’s new polar bear cub makes his debut
The Toronto Zoo’s newest ursine attraction, a 14-week-old polar bear cub, made his debut on Friday.

The cub — to be named via an online contest sponsored by the Zoo — had a rough start to life when his mother rejected him and two other siblings at birth. He was the only survivor from his litter. Now weighing a healthy 17 kilograms, the baby bear will live in a specially designed enclosure in the zoo’s Tundra Park before being re-introduced to his mother, father and aunt.

The cub can be seen on display now in the polar bear exhibit in the Zoo’s Tundra Park.
